Position Summary
The Senior IT Manager, ERP, Data and Systems is responsible for the strategy, delivery, governance, and day-to-day operation of Chatters' ERP, enterprise applications, data platforms, integrations, and business systems. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic planning with technical execution, where the successful candidate will actively participate in solution design, troubleshooting, system improvements, data initiatives, and major project delivery while leading a high-performing team.
Operate as the senior technical authority for Business Central and LS Central, combining deep functional and technical expertise to resolve complex issues and deliver practical business solutions.
This role is closer to 70% technical / 30% leadership than a traditional IT Manager. We're looking for someone who enjoys getting into the details, hands-on - diagnosing POS issues, reviewing AL extensions, assessing Business Central behaviour, validating integrations, working alongside developers (vendors + internal), and partnering with the business to deliver practical, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
ERP & Business Systems Leadership
- Provide technical leadership and end-to-end ownership of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, LS Central, and related business applications, driving architecture, configuration, continuous improvement, and platform stability.
- Review, design, and oversee Microsoft AL extensions and customizations, ensuring development aligns with business requirements, architectural standards, performance, and long-term maintainability.
- Lead complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support, resolving Business Central, LS Central, POS, integration, and application issues while partnering with business stakeholders and vendors.
- Remain hands-on in solution delivery, including Business Central configuration, functional design, testing, deployments, release management, and validation of application enhancements and defect fixes.
- Oversee enterprise solution delivery, system upgrades, integrations, and vendor performance, ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable business solutions that support retail operations and strategic growth.
- Lead enterprise data governance, reporting, and system integrations.
- Drive data quality, master data standards, and reporting capabilities.
- Support enterprise analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
- Design and implement enterprise data, reporting, and integration solutions.
- Develop and review SQL queries, data validation, reconciliation, and reporting logic where appropriate.
- Lead enterprise data governance and master data strategy.
- Partner with technical teams to optimize APIs, integrations, and system performance
- Lead cross-functional technology programs using Agile and project governance.
- Manage budgets, priorities, risks, timelines, and external partners.
- Ensure successful testing, change management, and production readiness.
- Act as Technical Lead for major ERP, POS, CRM, and integration initiatives.
- Participate in architecture reviews, solution design, and technical decision-making.
- Lead Agile delivery while remaining actively involved in technical execution.
- Ensure successful testing, deployments, production readiness, and post-implementation support.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, Marketing, and Retail leadership.
- Provide strategic technology recommendations aligned to business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, coach and develop ERP, Data, and Systems team members through coaching and technical guidance.
- Balance strategic leadership with hands-on delivery of key initiatives.
- Establish IT standards, documentation, and operational processes.
- Establish operational standards, documentation, monitoring, disaster recovery, and security best practices
- Monitor service levels and drive operational efficiency across the application landscape.
- Act as senior technical escalation point for critical production incidents.
- Perform hands-on analysis and resolution of complex application and integration issues.
- Drive automation, performance tuning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline.
- Eight or more years of progressive experience supporting and leading ERP and enterprise business systems.
- Demonstrated experience remaining technically hands-on while leading teams.
- Strong experience with ERP, POS, CRM, eCommerce, APIs, SQL, reporting, integrations, and cloud technologies.
- Experience leading enterprise projects from architecture through production support.
- Strong understanding of ITIL, Agile delivery, data governance, cybersecurity, and vendor managements.
