Position Summary

As a Data Systems Analyst, you will manage, maintain, and optimize critical master data across retail and salon systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability across ERP, POS, eCommerce, and Loyalty platforms.

Reporting to the Director of ERP & Systems, this role combines hands-on execution (SKU setup, pricing, promotions) with data analysis, governance, and system collaboration, ensuring seamless data flow and supporting operational efficiency, system stability, and customer experience. This role is ideal for someone with 3 - 5 years of experience in data management within retail or related industries.


Key Responsibilities

Master Data Management & Governance
  • Maintain and update product, customer, and vendor master data across ERP, POS, WMS, eCommerce, Accounting, and HR systems
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with governance standards
  • Maintain product attributes (descriptions, categories, brand) ensuring cross-system consistency
  • Document data standards, processes, and procedures
SKU & Product Setup
  • Create and maintain SKUs in ERP (e.g., Business Central, SAP, Oracle)
  • Support new brand onboarding and category setup
  • Ensure alignment across POS, eCommerce, and downstream systems
  • Validate successful data propagation across platforms

Pricing & Promotions Management
  • Execute retail, cost, and franchise pricing updates
  • Ensure pricing consistency across all channels
  • Configure promotions (discounts, bundles, multi-buy offers)
  • Define promotion rules (eligibility, timing, scope) with business teams
  • Create, monitor, and troubleshoot coupon campaigns
Data Quality, Analysis & Insights
  • Monitor and improve data quality using validation and reconciliation checks
  • Analyze master data to identify inconsistencies, trends, and optimization opportunities
  • Develop reports and dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to track data accuracy and performance
  • Support decision-making through actionable data insights
Item Lifecycle & Data Flow Management
  • Manage product lifecycle
  • Execute disposition updates and prevent invalid transactions
  • Ensure end-to-end data flow (ERP → POS → eCommerce → Loyalty)
  • Monitor and validate integration flows and data synchronization
Systems Collaboration & Support
  • Partner with IT to ensure availability, stability, and performance of systems supporting master data
  • Act as a business-facing point of contact for data-related system issues
  • Support incident triage, distinguishing between data vs system issues
  • Participate in release planning, testing, and change management
  • Perform post-deployment validation and reconciliation, as necessary
Projects, Enhancements & PMO Support
  • Support data migrations, system upgrades, and new implementations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and automation opportunities
  • Align with PMO governance on timelines, risks, and deliverables
Business Collaboration
  • Work closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT
  • Ensure timely and accurate data setup to support campaigns and operations
  • Provide guidance on data standards and best practices
  • Support consistent omnichannel customer experience
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in master data management, data analysis, or retail operations
  • Experience with ERP, POS, and eCommerce platforms (e.g., Business Central, Magento)
  • Strong proficiency in Excel; SQL and Power BI/Tableau are assets
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities

This is a hybrid opportunity (4 days in office) 

Salary Range for this position: $65,000 - $75,000
